This is the main logo for Empire X. I used gold to make the crown stand apart from the letters. I thought about making the "E" and "X" Different colors, but in the end settled on outlining the letters to make a more defined and contained space for the logo. I wanted this logo to look very clean and modern. I replaced the rounded "X" with straight edges and lined it up with the edge of the "E" to make the entire logo consistent with an angular look.
I noticed many of my classmates linked their games with the "Empire" logo. This is similar to what I have seen in gaming for instance, in the Assasins Creed games. There are multiple games with the same logo but slightly different backstory and objectives. I chose to go a different route. For instance, EA, a major game company produces Battlefield1, Titanfall, and Plants Vs. Zombie, amongst others, under the EA trademark, but each game has their own look. Therefore, I gave each of my game logos their own look within the genre of the game.
At first I colored the shield a gradient gray, but then I decided to go with the more traditional logo colors of red and blue. The cobalt blue color and font represents the idea of royalty. I colored the sword red to make it stand out from the blue background. Additionally, I moved the sword inside the shield, replacing the letter "t", to encapsulate the logo more.
For the second popular game, my original drone drawing was confusing-It was meant to look like a drone with four propellers, however that message wasn't coming across. Instead, I used what was meant to be a propeller as a sight to replace the "O". I moved everything within the oval to make it more contained. The green and tan represent military colors, along with the font type.
